For regular students, Core Electives must include twelve credit hours in Arts and Humanities, nine credit hours in Natural Sciences, and nine credit hours in Social Sciences.  Core Electives must be chosen from classes labeled with a "C" designation in the Catalog and Course Schedule (i.e. ECON C101).

You may view the entire current Core Electives List, which contains the following categories:

  • Arts and Humanities Core (Literature, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Fine Arts)
  • Natural Science Core (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Sciences)
  • Social Sciences Core (Psychology/Sociology, Economics/Business, Political Science/Anthropology)
In some cases, Core electives will also count towards major requirements; some majors will require specific Core Electives.  For details, please refer to the Catalog or the individual major checklist for your year of matriculation.
