Men's discus champion - Dan Austin of Williams College

How does it feel to win a National Championship as a senior? "It feels good to go out like this"…"I have had a good time and it has been a really fun couple of years."

Was there any added pressure coming in to the event as the top-ranked thrower and the defending National Champion? "There definitely was pressure. There were a couple of guys that were having a good season. I definitely respected them and felt the pressure."

Women's long jump champion - Kristal Grigsby, University of St. Thomas (Minn.)

How does it feel to win a National Championship after coming into this meet as the top-ranked jumper? "It feels good to win. The thing that I have to remember is that even though you may be ranked number-one going into the event, that doesn't mean you will finish number-one. It is important to have realistic expectations."

As a senior, how does it feel to go out on top? "It feels really good to finish with the championship. I was ranked number-one at the indoor championships and I didn't do as well as I wanted to, so it feels really good to claim the title."

Women's discus throw champion - Robyn Jarocki, Wisconsin Oshkosh

Being ranked first, are you satisfied with the National Championship? "I'm happy that I won, but I am not really happy with my performance. I didn't really throw to the best of my ability today. I had one really big throw and I scratched it."

With two events left in the championships, are you looking for a three-peat at this year's nationals? "I'm ranked second in the hammer and first in the shot, so I plan to be in the hunt for all three titles."

Women's pole vault champion - Ashley Johnson, Wilmington College (Ohio)

How does it feel to win a National Championship? "It feels unbelievable to win a National Championship. I have never been to National meet before, so this is a great feeling. I was ranked seventh coming into the meet, so winning is very surreal."

"My hope was to be an All-American by finishing in the top eight, by jumping what I had jumped coming in. I jumped two-and-a-half-inches higher and some things went my way."

Did the rainy and windy weather play a factor today? "It would have been nice to have a tailwind with sun, but you have to roll with the punches. I tried to keep my pole dry and stay dry."

Men's long jump champion - Paul of Klemic of Richard Stockton College

How does it feel to repeat as a National Champion in your senior year? "It obviously feels good to achieve this. This is really good competition and I have met some really nice kids. However, I just didn't want to lose. I was not in first place the whole time and that helped to motivate me.

Did you have an edge coming in as the top-ranked runner and the defending National Champion? "There was a little bit of an edge mentally, I guess, giving me a little confidence."

Women's 10,000-meter run champion - Caroline Cretti of Williams College

How does it feel to repeat as a National Champion in your senior year? It feels really good, but I still want to do well in my next even the 5K.

You were second last year, obviously wanted number one this year, are you pleased with the results? It feels really good. Its really nice to have my coach hand me the plaque.

How did it feel dominating the pack? It is nice to be ahead, it keeps me focus. Its such a long race, really anyone can catch up with you. I just tried to keep my pace and stay focused.

Were you looking to set a PR as well today? No, not really, I just wanted the championship. That's what it is about. I glad with the time I had because my first mile was pretty slow. I'm happy with the time.

Men's 10,000-meter run champion - Macharia Yuot of Widener University

You were second at Nationals in this event last year, how does it feel to win this season? "This year was different. I had injuries last year to deal with. This year I had a good season. I knew coming into today I just needed to sit back and relax. I know that the competition was though, but I just needed to do the right thing."

What was your strategy coming into today? "It all comes down to the last lap. I felt like somebody was waiting for me, so I set my own pace and I knew I had to just keep my pace."

What was going through your mind in the last 100 yards, you looked behind you at the end? "I was looking behind me because I wanted to make sure I was on the right pace. I did not want to make a bad call."
