Title III Lab Open House Everyone is invited to an Open House in the Title III Lab to be held on Wednesday, March 7, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The Lab, located in what had been the conference room behind BH174, provides a faculty work area for course technology development. During the Open House we will be demonstrating some of the lab equipment, including the digital still camera, video camera, and scanner. Light refreshments will be served. Peoplesoft On Feb 15th Department Chairs participated in a workshop in which they set the stage for automating the advising process. They examined current rules for prerequisites and consents that will be built into system. Minutes of meeting are available from Ethel Ragland. On March 15th the Title III
Academic Advising Focus Group will hold its third meeting. The group will
evaluate how the realities of the system meet our expectations. Now that
the system is rolled out, is it doing what we need and envisioned? Benedictine Faculty Jerry Kickul, Director of the Center for Instructional Delivery at the University of St. Francis, visited Benedictine University on Friday, January 26. He provided the first campus demonstration of DreamWeaver to faculty participating in the Title III program, met with members of the College of Business, Technology, and Professional Programs, spoke with Collegis's information technology group, and gave a public presentation on copyright issues connected with the internet. On Friday, February 9, Burks
Oakley (Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University
of Illinois) visited campus and showed Title III faculty how to generate
streaming audio files for use in conjunction with PowerPoint Presentations.
After meeting with several of Benedictine University's deans and the academic
vice-president, he gave a presentation on web-based instruction in the
