Spin Panorama Projects

Martin Tracey
, one of our Title III faculty, traveled in Strasbourg with a special study abroad version of HUMN230 - Baptism of Europe. Martin sent back a collection of photos which Jon Lewis, Director of Title III Component 2, has used, along with SpinPanorama software, to create these QuickTime movies - panoramic views of Place de la Cathedrale and Place Vendome:

Jon also used SpinPanorama to create these jpg versions of the same scenes:

You may have seen the following QuickTime movie in Newsletter 3. It illustrates SpinPanorama used with an inward orientation:

If you don't have QuickTime, you can download it from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/. While viewing the movies, click and drag left or right to move around the panorama. Use the Ctrl and Shift keys for zooming. (NOTE: This technique will only work if your PC associates .mov files with QuickTime. If .mov files are associated with another media player, then you view these files by downloading them, and then opening them in QuickTime.)
