Duties: The Languages and Literature Department and the Global Studies Program at Benedictine University, a liberal arts institution near Chicago, seek candidates for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Chinese language and culture beginning Fall 2010. The successful candidate will have significant experience teaching undergraduate courses in Chinese language, culture and civilization as well as demonstrable native or near-native proficiency in both Chinese and English. Additional requirements include experience and/or willingness to help with program development and supervision of Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants. Candidates should also be able and willing to lead study abroad groups in China. PH.D in hand in Chinese Language and Literature or related field (e.g., Chinese Language and Civilization, Chinese Studies, Comparative Literature, Applied Linguistics ) is a must.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE PERMANENT LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE U.S.A.
