Background:
Sheila Elizabeth Lemon Anderson is a native Chicagoan who attended Chicago
Public Schools and came full-circle as an educator at schools she attended as a
student, including her last assignment where she retired as an administrator.
Among her many leadership roles were Internal Quality Assurance Review, School
Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement, School Leadership
Learning, Schools of Choice Marketing, and Computer Technology. As
instructional leader Mrs. Anderson contributed to a concerted effort by staff
to produce students’ measureable academic growth for six consecutive years.
Mrs.
Anderson is a volunteer member, serving as the Chairperson of the Curriculum
Development Team for Project Eden, a global economic development and spiritual
renewal model. A member of the board of directors for MAPS Organization
(Motivating, Achieving, Pursuing, and Success), a community outreach
organization for youth, she also provides curriculum development and academic
support.
Her
interests in leadership, accelerated learning techniques, professionalism,
global education, and service will help address the unique needs of the adult
learning community.
