Professional Background:
I earned a bachelor of science in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My master of science in journalism degree is from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. I am a writing and communication instructor for Benedictine University, the University of Phoenix, Ashford University, and Rasmussen College. Recently, I did something those I teach are involved in: being a student. I began graduate studies in an area I have been interested in for some time: clinical psychology. I spent the earlier part of my career as a professional writer and editor, and continue to work occasionally on freelance writing and editing projects.
