Background:
Carrie Blixt-Diaz is an adjunct faculty for Benedictine University Moser
College of Adult and Professional Studies dedicated in the content areas of the
humanities and art history. Carrie accomplished a B.A. in Art history from the
University of Iowa and a M.A. in Teaching from National-Louis University as
well as an Illinois state certification in middle school education. Maintaining
her dedication to lifelong learning, Carrie is currently pursuing graduate
level course work at Northern Illinois University in the Art History
department.
Carrie's teaching style focuses on the relation between what you learn in the
classroom to what you experience in life. The course work is developed to
compliment the "why's" of the everyday and contemplate the
"what if's" of our pasts and futures.Her approachable
personality and teaching style accommodates a variety of student learning
styles while focuses on a student-centered classroom for the maximum
educational experience. Carrie currently teaches for additional institutions
around the Chicagoland area and has been a Chicago resident for over twenty
years.
