Kijuana brings 15 years of combined experience in the fields of Accounting, Finance, and Higher Education. She has practiced the discipline of Accounting in the Insurance and Banking industry for over 10 years. The past 5 years, she has also taught Accounting in Higher Education part time as an adjunct at Elgin Community College, engaged in outreach opportunities and investing in new businesses. She is passionate about advocating for students and educational reform. She has served with organization such as Trio programs that brings educational resources to higher educations students.
