Professional Background:
Ms.
Fencl has been in post secondary
education for 13 years as an instructor and registrar. She was awarded several Excellence in Education commendations teaching at Westwood
College-O’Hare. Ms. Fencl has taught at the City
Colleges of Chicago and Morton College. Her academic administration career
began as the first Registrar at Westwood College-DuPage.
At Manager of Academic Records at Career Education, she was responsible for
managing 60 Accuplacer test sites and facilitating
IPEDS survey submissions for 84 national proprietary schools. Additionally, she
has served as an academic policy consultant on special projects ranging from
writing academic policy manuals to designing/delivering comprehensive academic
policy trainings for campus presidents, deans and registrars.
For the last five years, she has served as an
IPEDS National Trainer for the U.S. Department of Education, the National
Center for Education Statistics and the Association for Institutional Research,
heading several curriculum development work teams. Ms. Fencl
has presented IPEDS topics at the AACRAO annual conference, as well as the
Indiana AIR and Connecticut AIR conferences.
