Professional Background:
Dr. Richard Gilbert (Dick) brings over 20 years of work in health care, research experience and teaching to this exciting Cohorts program. His PhD is in psychology and he has additional competencies in bereavement/death education and also in trauma leadership. He currently is on the faculty of Mercy College (New York), teaching two on-line graduate courses in psychology. He lives in Elgin with his wife, Sharon, and both wait eagerly for their first grandchild. His hobbies are model railroading (Lionel) and refereeing basketball.
