Professional Background:
I have been in education for over forty years. I have been a higher education administrator and instructor in over seven higher education institutions in the U.S. and Asia. I retired in 2007 as Vice President at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, IL. I returned to higher education in January of 2008 in order to keep on learning from, and contributing to, adult students. In addition to my higher education involvement, I have been a state director for adult education in Virginia and a consultant to the state departments of education in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

I am originally from the Boston area and served in the U.S. Peace Corps back in the '60's. I have my bachelor's degree from St. Edward's University, Austin, TX, my master's degree from the Ateneo De Manila University, Manila, Philippines, and my doctorate from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Fl.
