Professional Background:
Fred Runge has over 25 years
experience in business and academia.He began
his career in Human Resources with Northrop-Grumman Corporation, where he
conducted job market research to identify and implement competitive pay ranges.He continued his career in compensation survey
consulting with Hewitt Associates, where he spearheaded the design, development,
and implementation of a new survey analysis system that saved his survey team
thousands of dollars in overtime expenses, and improved the profit
margin/billable time of associates by 50%. It was also at this time that Fred
got his first taste of training and education, as he led the training effort of
his colleagues on the new system he developed.He went
on to become a successful project manager for a manufacturing company, but his
desire to teach and train people soon led him back to Benedictine University,
where he completed his coursework to get his high school teaching certificate.
Fred's teaching experience evolved from
teaching English to high school students to training adults on computer
software programs at Gateway Corporation and Pearson Education, as well as
teaching adults Economics and Business Communications at DeVry
University and University of Phoenix.
Most recently, Fred has expanded his personal
studies into project management, business/process analysis, and Six-Sigma.He hopes to apply these new skills analyzing training
needs and streamlining training processes.
