Professional Background
Cynthia Townsend is a multifaceted educator with ten years
experience in academia. She is experienced in improving and expanding
students’ academic skills while broadening their perspective of the world. Ms.
Townsend has been awarded several grants which allowed her to travel abroad to
study educational systems of other nations. She has been able to incorporate
the information she gleaned, during her travels; to offer students a global
perspective of learning. Students describe Ms. Townsend as an inspirational and
knowledgeable instructor who has the ability to challenge students to broaden
their way of thinking. She is innovative in her teaching methods and seeks to
make the material she delivers both meaningful and practical.
Ms. Townsend’s academic proficiencies include
classroom instruction, curriculum development and workshop presentation. She
has conducted a plethora of presentations to a variety of audiences both
nationally and internationally. Ms. Townsend is an avid proponent of education
who has also served as a tutor and mentor.
Cynthia Townsend holds a Master of Arts in
Educational Leadership. In addition, she holds a State Type 75 Administration
certificate.
