Professional Background:
Mike Wilson is a teacher with 33 years of experience in a local unit school
district. He has taught astronomy, geology and computer technology courses at
the high school and college levels and acted as a technology integration
specialist. He has also worked as an operating room efficiency consultant, a
technology integration specialist in an elementary school and is now an adjunct
faculty member for Benedictine University. In the last four years, Mike has
worked with Packer Engineering for the Pathways high school intern program and
has co-taught the Packer Aviation Summer Experience as well as teacher workshops
in science and technology. He especially enjoys speaking on topics relating to
aviation since he has been a private pilot for 14 years.
