In order to register for Spring 09 classes, all freshmen must complete 3 steps:

1. Sign up for an advising appointment - The new Student Advisors will be in the Kindlon Atrium on the following days to schedule advising appointments with you. Each advising appointment will be about 30 minutes long.

   Wednesday, October 1: 9-9:30 am, 12-12:30pm
   Thursday, October 2: 12-12:30 am, 2:30-3:00pm
   Monday, October 6: 9-9:30 am, 12-12:30pm
   Tuesday, October 7: 12-12:30 am, 2:30-3:00pm

   ATTENTION STUDENTS: FRESHMEN WHO ARE ADVISED BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31ST WILL BE ENTERED INTO OUR RAFFLE TO WIN A NINTENDO WII!

2. Meet with your academic advisor - Prepare to discuss your current classes and activities, a possible major, and other issues. Your advisor will also help you pick classes for Spring semester. Don't forget to come with questions.

3. Attend one registration tutorial - Your first semester here, your advisor registered you for classes. Now it is your turn to self-register. Before Freshman Registration begins, you will need to attend one Registration Tutorial so that you are familiar with advising tools, how to register for classes and problems you may run into, and can ask any questions you may have.

Registration Tutorials will be held in the Krasa Presentation Room on the following dates:

Tuesday, November 4 - 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 5 - 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 6 - 12:30 p.m

The New Student Advising Center is thrilled to be hosting our Freshman Welcome Reception with the 4 different colleges here on campus. This is a great opportunity for  freshman students to learn a little more about the various programs/majors offered within each college.

You will also find out more information about:

• each College’s expectations
• career opportunities
• internship opportunities
• clubs/organization associated with each college.

We recommend that you attend each event to get familiar with the various colleges and these Welcome Receptions will help you decide on a major before you declare your major this Spring.
