Finalizing Enrollment

Congratulations on selecting Benedictine University as your college choice. We are very excited that you will be joining our campus community in the near future. To ensure you have taken all the necessary steps to make a smooth transition into college, this provides you with relevant information related to securing your registration as a Benedictine University student.

  1. A $200 tuition deposit to secure your registration at Benedictine University. Pay securely online. In addition, if you are living on campus please send in your housing preference form and health forms (will open in new windows) as soon as possible.  The housing deposit is an additional $125.
  2. All incoming freshmen students are required to complete placement testing in math, writing and foreign language (if Spanish or French was taken in high school). The placement tests are required and ensure the student is placed in the correct level class. Testing is part of the Fast Track to BU program. A student must complete the testing prior to their advising appointment. Fast Track to BU dates are available beginning in February 2008. Please contact your Admissions Counselor to register for a Fast Track to BU date.
  3. After placement testing, a student is ready for advising and registration.  Advising will begin in March. Please note that selecting an early advising appointment will allow you the most flexibility in designing your schedule.
  4. Upon high school graduation, students will need to submit their final semester transcripts to Benedictine University's Enrollment Center by September 15, 2006 to make their admission file complete.
  5. Attend New Student Day. It is not the typical "freshmen and transfer student orientation," it is the beginning of their collegiate experience. You will make new friends and meet other students, staff and faculty. You will learn about the rich tradition of Benedictine University and the Benedictine monks. You will learn how to balance class, work and spirituality and how to relate to people of different cultures while having fun beginning your college career at Benedictine University!
