Admission to a graduate program is offered to applicants who have a bachelor's
degree from an accredited college or university and show high probability of success
in the program and the profession. The University admits students year-round,
allowing them to begin in any term, including summer. If the student has taken
coursework as a graduate student at large at Benedictine University, the grade
point average earned will be considered in the decision to admit the student.
An application will be considered ready for review when the following items
have been received:
- A completed application form; A non-refundable application fee;
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended
- Letters of reference from persons who know the applicant from a professional
or academic perspective (all programs require two letters of reference, except
three letters required for Education programs or four letters required for
the Clinical Psychology program)
- A one page statement of educational and career goals
- A one page autobiographical statement describing the student's interests
and background (Clinical Psychology program applicants only)
- An interview with the department chair or a faculty member is optional (Interview
required for Clinical Psychology program applicants)
- Test scores
