How many semester hours do I need to transfer to Benedictine?
You need 20 hours. If you have less than 20 transferrable hours, we will need
to see your high school transcript/ACT score.
What is the minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA)?
The minimum GPA is 2.0 (without previous probation or dismissal).
Are there fraternities or sororities on campus?
No, but we do have many clubs and social organizations.
How many of my hours will transfer to Benedictine?
We are Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) compliant, therefore any IAI course
will transfer to Benedictine. There is no maximum and credits will be examined
on a course-by-course basis.
When can I transfer to Benedictine?
We have rolling admissions, therefore you can transfer at any time or any semester
(fall, spring or summer).
Will there be students my own age in my classes?
Yes. Each year we have equal amounts of freshmen and transfer students who enroll
at Benedictine. Transfer students vary in age and experience.
How many hours must I take at Benedictine if I transfer?
You need 120 hours to graduate 55 hours must be completed at a four-year
college. Other graduation requirements will be determined on an individual basis.
Can I have an unofficial evaluation of my current credits from other colleges
and universities?
Yes. Just schedule an appointment with a University Representative.
Will my GPA transfer?
No. Your GPA will start over as soon as you begin your academic career at Benedictine.
