Apply during your office interview or online. Use application fee-waiver code BENUOI. Once you have applied and have sent your official transcripts your transfer counselor will contact you regarding your admission decision.
Once you are admitted to Benedictine University you will receive a phone call and email from your transfer admissions counselor. A transfer acceptance packet will also arrive to you in the mail with important information about BenU.
Upon acceptance your file will be sent to our Transfer Credit Evaluators (TCE) for an official transfer evaluation. Transfer evaluations can take one to three weeks to be completed based on your credits. The evaluators may ask you for additional information such as course syllabi to make determinations. Once your transfer evaluation is completed you will receive a copy via the mail.
If you qualify for a transfer scholarship (based on cumulative GPA) you will be notified by your transfer counselor once your transfer credit evaluation is completed. A copy of your award letter will be sent to you via the mail.
If you have your 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – www.FAFSA.gov – on record with BenU, our Office of Financial Aid will work on an award letter which you will receive via the mail. Financial Aid may request additional information from you such as tax information, proof of US citizenship, etc.
Once you are accepted to BenU you will qualify for registration. This is the last step to becoming an official student, so if you have questions about your transfer credits or tuition costs you should work with your transfer counselor to get the answers you need. Once you have made your final decision to register you should notify your transfer counselor either by phone call or email.
Upon accepting your admissions offer, your transfer counselor will send your file to our New Student Advising Center (NSAC). From there your NSAC Advisor will call you to set up your one-on-one appointment to select your first semester of classes.
