Apply during your office interview or online. Once you have applied and have sent your official transcripts your transfer counselor will contact you regarding your admission decision.
Once you are admitted to Benedictine University you will receive a phone call and email from your transfer admissions counselor. A transfer acceptance packet will also arrive to you in the mail with important information about BenU.
If you qualify for a transfer scholarship (based on cumulative GPA) you will be notified by your transfer counselor once your transfer credit evaluation is completed. A copy of your award letter will be sent to you via the mail.
Upon acceptance your file will be sent to our Transfer Credit Evaluators (TCE) for an official transfer evaluation. Transfer evaluations can take one to three weeks to be completed based on your credits. The evaluators may ask you for additional information such as course syllabi to make determinations. Once your transfer evaluation is completed you will receive a copy via the mail.
File the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1 and make sure to include Benedictine’s school code 001767. Once you have completed your FAFSA, our Office of Financial Aid will review your eligibility and mail you a Financial Aid Award Letter. The award letter will list the financial aid programs and amounts you are eligible to receive.
Before you can officially accept your admissions offer and register for classes you will need to take an online Math Placement Test if you have not already completed a math course. Once these steps are completed your file will be sent to our Advising Center.
Upon completing the mathematics placement test (if required) your file will be send to our Advising Center. From there your academic advisor will contact you to schedule a time to discuss registering for your first semester of classes.
