Jerry Angermeire wrote this for the 40th Reunion
Jerry received his LLD from Indiana University in 1966 and became
an attorney. He credits SPC for his being #3 in his law school
graduating class! He served in the US Army for four and a half
years. From 1966 to 1971 he was a military judge (JAGC). He is
now partially retired from his law firm: Jewell, Crum and Angermeier
in Columbus, IN.
Jerry and his wife, Kathleen have one daughter. Lisa is a professor
at IU. Jerry's hobbies include playing in the city band and anything
outdoors - hunting, fishing, golf and amateur archeology.
While at SPC he was a cook, server in Ma Denisoff's kitchen;
cheerleader, member of the orchestra; class officer; and beer
drinker. His favorite memories of SPC include being with Chi.
T "Region" guys; unforgettable characters like Loritz,
Humo, Pielin, Matheson, Parks, McGuinn; and some dedicated teachers.
Jerry's involvement with Benedictine University - "only
knew Proco not BU - what happened to St Procopius - was he defrocked?"
His message: "My life at Proco made the difference. Learned
to study. You're a 'nerd' if you don't admit this. Remember Fr.
Ron Checking to see if we were sitting at our desk."
Jerry passed away on Easter Morning, March 27, 2005
