Annual Fund gifts through direct mail, phonathon, online, faculty/staff giving and other programs are vital for Benedictine University's most immediate needs.  While your donation can be directed to a specific academic department, scholarship, athletics or building campaign, we also appreciate gifts to either our General Scholarship Fund or the Benedictine Fund.  No matter the designation, the dollars raised through our Benedictine University Annual Fund are significant and add up to make a big impact here.

Annual Fund FAQ's

What does the Annual Fund support?
Benedictine University's Annual Fund supports the most immediate needs of the University.  It bridges the gap between the total cost of running the University and revenue earned from tuition.  Unrestricted giving to the Annual Fund supports current operations.  By designating your gift to the Benedictine Fund, you are providing the most flexible resources that can immediately be put to use.

Can I decide where I want my gift to go?
Yes! Whether you donate online, by mail or through the phonathon, you can choose where you would like your gift to be designated.  For example, your gift could go to the Benedictine Fund (unrestricted), General Scholarships, a specific scholarship, a college or department or a building improvement fund.

What is Benedictine University's fiscal year?
The University's fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31.

How will I know that my gift was received?
A gift receipt will be sent by mail for your charitable contribution.

How will I be recognized?
Benedictine University recognizes all contributions by its constituents in an annual report. There are additional ways the University recognizes our donors depending on where you make your gift.

Is it safe to make an online gift?
Yes. Our online gift form is secure.  No credit card information is stored.
