Unfortunately, the University must cancel the Procopian Swim Club for the 2007-2008 school year due to scheduling issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The Procopian Swim Club has always been a very popular program and we hope to reinstate the program for the 2008-2009 school year. The Benedictine University Procopian Swim Club is a competitive swimming program for children age 6 through eighth grade held at the Rice Center natatorium. The club offers excellent swimming instruction without the enormus time committments that other competitive swim clubs require. Its mission is to teach competitive swimming techniques with an emphasis on developing young swimmers. The Saturday morning practice sessions, held from mid-October through mid-March, focus on teaching stroke and skill development. The Procopian Swim club provides its members with the necessary tools to excel in competitive swimming.

A skill screening will beheld in late August or early Spetember and will consist of 25-yard swims of the four competitive strokes. Stroke perfection is not required, but individuals must demonstrate basic stroke ability. During the screeening, the coaches will evaluate each swimer's skills and determine if the individual qualifies for the program. The program cost is $300 per child, with a $25 second child discount.
