Jon Wolcott is in his 18th year heading up the Benedictine University cross country programs. Wolcott is also the head coach for the Eagles’ men’s and women’s track and field programs.

In 2006, Wolcott led Benedictine University’s efforts as the host of the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex.

Wolcott’s student-athletes have had a great deal of success both in the classroom and on the courses of competition, as established by his 27 all-conference finishers, five track and field All-Americans, 50-plus school records and his many academic all-conference teams and individuals.

Wolcott accumulated more than two decades of coaching experience at the prep level in Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas prior to arriving at Benedictine. A mentor in basketball, cross country and track & field, he produced more than 75 prep all-conference, all-state and All-America performers before moving to collegiate athletics.

A native of Berrien Springs, Mich., Wolcott lettered in basketball, cross country, golf and track & field while attending Kalamazoo College, from where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1960. He and his wife of 40 years, Judith, reside in Naperville, Ill. They enjoy the company of their family, which include four sons and two grandchildren.
