Sue Brumm - formerly Templeman - joined the Benedictine University staff in 2006
as the head coach for men’s and women’s swimming. She brought with her
a great familiarity of NCAA Division III athletics.
Prior to coming to Benedictine, Brumm was the assistant women’s swimming
coach at the University of Chicago. She also assisted in the Maroons overall
aquatics program. Prior to that, she was the associate head men’s and women’s
coach at Norwich Univeristy in Vermont. Her first head coaching experience was
at Rhodes College in Tennessee (2002-03), where she headed up both the men’s
and women’s programs.
Additionally, Brumm has a vast amount of experience coaching club teams and
as a swim camp counselor. She also personally had a successful career as a four-year
letterwinner at Binghamton University, as well as at Vestal High School (New
York). She was also a member of Binghamtons track and field team for one season.
Brumm earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Binghamton in 2002.
She and her husband, Colt, were married in March 2007.
