  Event Description:  

For decades the University has had the policy of using a committee to write letters of recommendation for medical, dental, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy (4 yr), physical therapy, physician's assistant, podiatry and veterinary medicine professional schools.  To carry out this work the committee meets two times each year, in September and February, to interview applicants. Each committee member interviews each student for approximately 30-45 minutes to assess his or her probability of success in a professional school.

BenU's MSIP student will present and discuss the basis and prevention of diseases. Important health information on common diseases such as cardiovascular and neurological diseases, diabetes and osteoporosis will be presented. Additionally, the importance of eye exams and oral hygiene as well as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases will be discussed.

  Event Description:  

The Masters of Science in Integrative Physiology students from BenU will be conductine free health screenings for residents of Villa St. Benedict on Monday, January 22nd beginning at 8:00a m in the Art Studio at Villa St. Benedict. The tests include BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose measurements. 
*Please note, for the most accurate test results, fasting for 12 hours prior is required.
