The Campus Services Department at Benedictine
University consists of 4 primary departments,
Maintenance,
Housekeeping,
Grounds, and
Project
Management. Together, the departments represent 6 managers
and 35 hourly staff members. The department managers and their
staff report to the
Director of Campus Services.
The Impact of Campus Services
A recent study of entering freshmen by
the Carnegie Foundation revealed that the appearance of the campus is
a most important influence during campus visit. The study concluded
that the director of buildings and grounds is a key member of any
college or university when it comes to recruiting students. This
research underscores the importance of having an efficiently run
campus facility to meet the competitive demands of today's higher
education market.
Professional Services
With
ever-tightening budgets, these demands are reaching beyond the
capabilities of in-house maintenance programs. That's why more and
more colleges and universities are turning to facility professionals
(like Sodexho) to manage their
maintenance, grounds and custodial operations.
Customer Driven
The success of Campus Services is rooted in our commitment to be
"customer driven," a term that represents our extensive efforts to
understand and respond to the needs of the campus community. The
result of this never-ending mission is to provide you with a campus
that is physically attractive; buildings that are clean; and living
quarters that are warm, safe and comfortable. |
