Registration Information
This Web site contains important information regarding the registration process
for traditional undergraduate students. In addition to the items listed below,
please refer to Advising Matters and the applicable Traditional/Adult Undergraduate
Catalog, to assist you in preparing
for your advising appointment and registering for classes.
Helpful Hints for Successful Registration
Once the course schedule is available, contact your academic advisor to schedule
an advising appointment.
Prepare for your advising appointment by first reviewing the appropriate reference
materials, creating a list of questions to be raised and completing the registration
worksheet.
Meet with your advisor to discuss your course schedule and complete the registration
form. Your advisor must sign the form in order to allow you to successfully
register for courses. If you are nearing the end of your academic program, discuss
final course requirements, your graduation audit and other outstanding issues.
You will be assigned a date and time to register based on a seniority system
of credit hours earned. If you cannot make your assigned time slot, you may
return at a later time. There will be no excused absences from class. Please
plan accordingly.
Students will be able to use MyBenU
to self-register for classes.
Be sure that any financial and/or health holds are cleared prior
to registration. Any hold on your record will prevent you from registering from
courses.
If a class requires a PIN number for registration, be sure to obtain the number
from the department that offers the course.
For more information about registration and the MyBenU system,
visit the registration
page.
Making Changes to Your Schedule
Freshman, new transfer students, and students on academic probation need advisor's
approval to change their schedules. Returning sophomores, juniors, and seniors
[in good academic standing] are advised to meet with their advisors. Students
may use MyBenU to process changes to their schedules.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Students who withdraw after the first week of class will receive a "W" on both the grade report and the
transcript. Students who do not withdraw properly will receive the letter grade of "F".
Billing Information
Tuition and fees are incurred at the time of registration. Tuition is due in full seven calendar days after the
first class meeting. Benedictine University has partnered with Tuition Management Systems (TMS) to provide payment plans
for those students seeking arrangements to balance their tuition payments over an extended period of time.
Tuition and Applying for Financial Aid
Tuition rates are subject to change. All financial aid recipients must be admitted as degree-seeking students
and enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours).
