Leadership in Mission Grant

The Leadership in Mission Grant (LMG) is designed to support Benedictine University faculty, students and staff who are interested in attending conferences and workshops that focus on elements of Catholic social teaching, the Catholic intellectual tradition and/or the Benedictine wisdom tradition. The LMG will assist those individuals, who, through their attendance, demonstrate their commitment to living the Catholic and Benedictine values espoused by the university. To provide an opportunity for the university community to share in the experience, grant recipients will give a brief presentation explaining the nature of the experience and its relationship to our Catholic and Benedictine traditions at the first Conversatio Round Table Discussion of the following academic year.

The purpose of the Leadership in Mission Grant is to provide funding for activities that explicitly promote the Catholic and Benedictine aspects of the university mission. Projects and attendance and/or participation in conferences and workshops that enhance the knowledge and active engagement of the participant in some area of Catholic Social teaching, the Catholic intellectual tradition and the Benedictine wisdom tradition will be considered for grant funding.
