Benedictine University is an inclusive academic community dedicated to teaching and learning, scholarship and service, truth and justice, as inspired by the Catholic intellectual tradition, the social teaching of the Church, and the principles of wisdom in the Rule of St. Benedict.
Benedictine University aspires to be a thought leader in Catholic higher education. We seek to provide a transformative and integrative educational experience grounded in Benedictine values, helping students shape lives of meaning and purpose as engaged citizens who care for the earth, welcome people of diverse faiths and cultures, and promote the common good.
We hope you are enjoying our wonderful Chicago summer. Let’s all enjoy the warm summertime breezes and sun while we have them.
This update is sent to all students in a continued effort to provide timely information about Benedictine University CLL changes and plans.
We will be developing a calendar of events for main campus (Lisle) activities that all CLL students are invited to attend in the fall. The events would be lectures, performing arts, exhibits, and appearances by national speakers. The calendar of events will be posted on this website in August, along with updates and general information about CLL. In addition to our educational events, we would encourage you to consider attending lifelong learning classes at other area educational centers (C.O.D., Aurora, Harper and park districts). We will list some of these centers on our website.
It is our intent to continue to offer programs and classes for CLL students beginning in 2017 Exactly where and when are undetermined at this time but we are working with the university Facilities Management and Planning group as to a permanent location for the CLL office and CLL classes either at Moser or main campus. We will share information via website and email once a final plan has been determined and approved.
