Offering artistic opportunities for students of all majors, the Department of Music at Benedictine University is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience in music education, performance, and general music. Our strength in instrumental and vocal ensembles provides students a base for artistic and intellectual growth, as does the chamber music ensemble that is available as one of our programs. Students also benefit from small class sizes, enabling them to receive individual attention from our highly-rated faculty.
The Bachelor of Arts in Music trains students to perform or pursue graduate studies in music scholarship, performance, and composition. The Department's degree program in Music Education offers students a comprehensive program of study that will fulfill all the requirements needed to earn an Illinois professional education license with an endorsement in music (grades K-12).
We are proud of our programs, students, and faculty. If you are interested in pursuing an education in music, or simply taking part in the various ensembles available at Benedictine University, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
