Biography

Dr. Chuck Gahala Ed.D., CCE, is a Professor of Finance and the Chair of Undergraduate Business Programs at Benedictine University. He specializes in the area of corporate finance and business credit management. He earned his BS, MBA and Ed.D. Degrees from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Gahala spent several years in credit management at General Electric Credit Cooperation and National Can Corporation. As an instructor, he has helped hundreds of credit practitioners in classes he has taught at NACM/Chicago-Midwest.

Dr. Gahala is the author of over 75 articles that pertain to business to business credit management. His textbook, Credit management Principles and Practices, is available through the National Association of Credit Management.

Dr. Gahala has been both the vice president and president of Delta Pi Epsilon the business education honors society. He has been a speaker for the National Association of Credit Management at national and regional conferences. He has taught at the Graduate School of Credit Management at Dartmouth College. He resides with his family in Downers Grove, Illinois.

The Certified Credit Executive (CCE) from the National Association of Credit Management (NACM). This is the highest level of the three levels of professional certification available to business credit professionals.
The Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) from the FCIB which is an association of executives in finance, credit and international business.
