- Foreign Credit
All students with overseas or foreign credit are required to have these credits evaluated as part of the admissions process. Benedictine University requires students to have these credits evaluated by Educational Perspectives or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE). Both of these organizations will evaluate transcripts, mark sheets, and other academic documents to determine a Grade Point Average (GPA), as well as the United States equivalent of credit hours and the degree earned in the home country, if applicable. Reports submitted must be official.
- Educational Perspectives
- Students who have completed secondary-level education only (high school, secondary school, etc.), are required to submit a General evaluation.
- Students who have completed any postsecondary education (college, university, etc.) are required to submit a Detailed evaluation.
- Official reports must be mailed directly from Educational Perspectives to Benedictine or submitted via email directly from Educational Perspectives to Benedictine.
- Educational Credential Evaluators
- Students who have completed secondary-level education only (high school, secondary school, etc.), are required to submit a General with Grade Average evaluation.
- Students who have completed any postsecondary education (college, university, etc.) are required to submit a Course by Course evaluation.
- Official reports must be mailed directly from Educational Credential Evaluators to Benedictine or submitted directly from Educational Credential Evaluators to Benedictine through their Secure Electronic Reporting option.
- Please note: Students with postsecondary coursework (college or university) interested in transferring to Benedictine with less than 20 transferrable hours will be required to have high school coursework evaluated as well. For questions on foreign credit evaluation, please contact the Enrollment Office at adultenrollment@ben.edu or (630) 829-2277.
