Happy New Year and welcome to the spring edition of the Corporate Foundation and Government Grants newsletter! The overall goal of this publication is to provide basic information to the Benedictine community about the grant process, services of the Grants office and various grant opportunities available.

News from the Grants Office

-- Scholarship grants have been received from both the W.B. and H.P. White Foundation and the Cuneo Foundation.

-- Fr. Theodore and Mary Mickus from the Jurica Nature Museum have received a grant from the DuPage Community Foundation to build a Sonoran Desert Exhibit in Birck 219. This exhibit will house some of the mounts received in the Pancotto collection.

-- For the first time, the University has submitted a grant application through the U.S. Government website called grants.gov. A proposal to the U.S. Department of Education that would benefit the new Global Studies Program was uploaded during the week of November 18.

-- The Council of Undergraduate Research, of which Benedictine University is a member, offers limited possibilities for free peer review of grant proposals. Consult the Grants Office, if you wish to explore this further.

Benedictine University is now using the user-friendly GrantSelect database, which more than 10,000 funding opportunities and the largest collection of sponsored research opportunities
