Volume 1 - Edition 2
July 2007 Newsletter

Welcome back to our summer edition of the Corporate Foundation and Government Grants newsletter! The overall goal of this publication is to provide basic information to the Benedictine community about the grant process, services of the Grants office and various grant opportunities available.

Exciting changes!

In the past we have been using the IRIS Grant database to search for various grants to apply for. We have now switched to GrantSelect which has proven to be more user friendly, updated daily and still offers many of the same tools that IRIS has. GrantSelect offers more than 10,000 funding opportunities and the largest collection of sponsored research opportunities.

To begin searching for grants on GrantSelect - click here.

The user friendly database, GrantSelect, is now listed on the Library's web site. Faculty, staff and students are able to access and search for grant information throughout the site both on and off campus. To access GrantSelect click on Links to all Databases under the Find Articles heading and scroll down to GrantSelect

To access GrantSelect off campus you need to have a valid library log-in. If you don't have a library log-in, the process to obtain one is very easy. Visit the Library's webpage and click Acquisitions Forms under the Quick Links section. Fill out the Patron Application Form and turn it into the library. If you have any further questions regarding this process, please contact the Reference Desk at libref@ben.edu or (630) 829-6057.
