Welcome to Benedictine University! We are delighted that you have choosen Benedictine for your educational experience in the United States. This page will provide you with information you need prior to your arrival in the United States, as well as with information about how to settle in comfortably after your arrival. Individual Attention
We pride ourselves in offering individual attention to international students, assisting them with their specific needs throughout the duration of their studies at Benedictine University. Whether students need assistance fine-tuning their papers or getting to the store for basic amenities, the staff at the International Programs Office is here to help!


Services Offered:
The International Programs Office strives to provide students with "home away from home" activities and services. Our office also seeks out and encourages community members to "adopt" international students for social events, dinners, and other occasions. Our mission is to produce "informed and responsible citizens and leaders in the world community" in keeping with our Benedictine values, heritage and tradition.

The International Programs Office offers a spectrum of services to Benedictine students. The basics are listed below:

Logistical Services
  • Transportation to local facilities (e.g. Social Security Administration and Driver's License Bureau) (Get SSN or State ID)
  • Guidance for on-campus housing selection: residence halls or Founders Woods Apartments (Residence Life)
