In these difficult economic times, it is understandable that students might not want to study abroad. Benedictine University has many different options for students to afford study abroad programs. Here you will find various scholarships and grants that organizations offer to students wanting an international experience.


Partnership Exchange Programs (PEP's)
PEP's are the best financial option we have for Benedictine students.

  • Tuition is paid to Benedictine
  • All Scholarships and Grants can be applied to Tuition at BU
  • Students are responsible for travel and Room/Board while abroad

Below is a list of scholarships that Benedictine students have used in the past.

Each month, a new FEATURED SCHOLARSHIP will be displayed in this section. These scholarships will provide students with different options for studying abroad.

This month's scholarship: Marshall Scholarships


Marshall Scholarships are offered to current Senior or Recently Graduated (within one year) student. This Scholarship provides students with a complete Graduate degree at a school in the United Kingdom.


Eligibility: Open only to United States citizens who (at the time they take up their Scholarship) hold a first degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States with a minimum GPA of 3.7. To qualify for awards tenable from October 2010, candidates must have graduated from their undergraduate college or university after April 2007.


Value: University fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse.


Number of Awards: Up to 40 Scholarships awarded annually.


Applications: Applications are made in one of eight regions in the United States. Candidates may apply in one region only - either that in which they have their permanent home address or ordinary place of residence/employment, or that in which they are studying.


Closing date: (For receipt of applications in appropriate regional centre in US) early-October of year preceding tenure.
