
All students who are registered for classes at the University
receive a user account within 48 hours of registration.
This account allows access to the Benedictine Network, MyBenU,
and our email system. To use these services you must follow
our Acceptable Use Policy, which can be found in our Technology
Information Packet for Students (T.I.P.S), which details
the technology resources at Benedictine University.
Benedictine University will use the student email system
as a primary method to communicate information. It is your
responsibility to check your Benedictine University email
account on a frequent basis to insure you are aware of all
University deadlines.
Your username will be in the following format; b+your seven
digit student id number. For example, b1234567. The initial
password for this account will be the last four digits of
your social security number twice. For example if your social
security number is 123-45-6789 your initial password will
be 67896789. The system will prompt you to change your password
the first time you log into the local network, or you can
access https://www.ben.edu/stuadmin
to reset your password. You will be required to change your
password every 90 days.
