Eagles Emory Super Regional

Jenna Boyajian drove in 6 runs and blasted a 3-run home run in the
bottom of the sixth inning to power Benedictine to a 13-3 victory Sunday
over Heidelberg University (Ohio) in the championship game of the
NCAA Division III Regional at Alma, Mich. The Eagles (37-15) advance
to the Super Regional hosted by Emory University on May 20-21 in Atlanta, Ga.

Alumni can make connections during Eagles Online Networking Hour

Benedictine University alumni can network with fellow alumni through the Eagles Online Networking Hour (formerly called Virtual Networking or Brazen Careerist) from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25. Alumni can connect with alumni from all majors, industries and locations, and build their network in less than an hour. Participants can login on from anywhere using their desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device by linking to The next Eagles Online Networking Hour for all alumni will be held on Wednesday, July 27. Pedagogy conference to explore embedding hallmarks into education

The Center for Mission and Identity (CMI) at Benedictine University will host the 10th Annual Benedictine Pedagogy Conference, "Engaging the Mission: Ten Years of Embedding the Hallmarks into Benedictine Education," on Thursday-Saturday, May 26-28. The keynote speaker will be Michael Hemesath, Ph.D., president of St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn., and chair of the Association of Benedictine Colleges and Universities.  Other presenters will include University faculty and staff James Pelech (Education), Beth Vinkler (Foreign Languages), Nancy West Stoecker (Compliance), Alicia Cordoba Tait (CMI) and Jon Miller (Student Life). Former Notre Dame athlete shares story of faith, courage

Haley Scott DeMaria, author of "What Though the Odds: Haley Scott's Journey of Faith and Triumph," will discuss her journey from a healthy college athlete to a paralysis patient at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, in the Goodwin Hall Auditorium. A book signing precedes the presentation from 6:00-6:45 p.m. DeMaria shares her story of survival and recovery in order to help others find hope, strength and faith during times of life's great challenges. Upcoming Enrollment events allow prospective students to get to know BenU

The Office of Admissions has scheduled several events throughout the spring and summer to showcase Benedictine University to prospective students. Prospective students can attend Saturday Preview Days from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on May 21, June 11, July 16 and August 13; and a Future Transfer Day on Wednesdays, June 1, July 6 and August 3. During the events, attendees can meet with an admissions counselor to discuss Benedictine University's renowned academic programs, the admissions process and requirements, applying, scholarships and financial aid, and take a guided tour of campus. Benedictine coach Kate Heidkamp earned her 500th career win Friday
when the Eagles defeated host Alma College, 2-1 in 10 innings, at the
NCAA Division III Regional.

Kids can have fun, learn basketball at the Eagles' camp

The goal of the 2016 Benedictine Eagle Basketball Camp is to create an entertaining environment for learning the game of basketball. The camp focuses on excellent instruction in the fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball. The camp is run by Coach of the Year Keith Bunkenburg and members of the 2015-16 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championships national runner-up. The camp is for boys grades 3-8 and runs from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, through Friday, June 10. The cost of camp is $225 and includes lunch, a camp T-shirt and a camp basketball.
