College of Business offers degree that encourages business creators
Benedictine University will offer three new degrees through College of Business beginning this fall – a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship, a B.B.A. in Human Resource Management and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Finance. The B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship is designed to provide students with the essential theories, critical-thinking skills and real-world knowledge necessary to support their launch into careers as entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. The B.B.A. in Human Resources will prepare managers who can oversee the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization’s management and its employees. The M.S. in Finance program is geared toward recent graduates of degree programs in Finance, and career advancers with sufficient work experience and a degree in business. Benedictine University's Eagles Basketball Camp for boys in grades 3-8 will be held from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday, June 9-12 at the Rice Center. The goal of the camp is to create an entertaining environment for learning the game of basketball and place campers in a setting where they will develop lasting friendships with fellow campers and coaches. The camp is directed by Benedictine men's basketball coach Keith Bunkenburg, one of the nation’s winningest active Division III coaches. Children of faculty and staff pay just $175 for the camp, which is regularly $220. The price includes lunch, a T-shirt and a camp basketball. To register, contact Bunkenburg at (630) 829-6146.

Taizé Ecumenical Prayer Services are meant to foster reconciliation and peace among all people. Ascension Catholic Church at 808 S. If the situation is life-threatening, immediately dial 911. There is no need to pre-dial “8” for 911 or 6666. To expedite the response for any emergency, whether medical or psychological, do not attempt to contact Student Health Services. Their availability is not assured. The mission of the Early Alert Team (EAT) is to provide early intervention and prevention for students who are experiencing distress, engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors, or who have been identified as at risk for personal, academic, social or financial difficulty. Expect the best but prepare for the worst
Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in the Campus Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program designed to prepare staff and students to help themselves, their family, friends and neighbors in the event of a disaster. The training covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available, such as emergency preparedness, fire safety, emergency medical operations, emergency response organization and disaster psychology. The training will be held from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, June 15-17, in the Krasa Student Center, Rooms ABCD. To participate, contact Michi Dubes at email@example.com.

Denim Days are back
Denim Days are back for summer. Donate $5 per Friday to the College of Business building or the general scholarship fund and wear jeans to work on Fridays from May 8 through August 28. Donate $70 upfront and wear jeans for 17 Fridays. Donate $35 upfront and wear jeans for eight Fridays. Get them for yourself or share with coworkers. Applies to new donations only. Current payroll deduction donors can increase their donations accordingly to become eligible. Forms can be dropped off at the Annual Fund office in the Krasa Center, Room 060.
