      Professional Certification
Kevin Doyle earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute on April 9, 2008, culminating over a year of experience review, study, and testing.
      Research Presented
In March 2008, Sharon Borowicz presented her research on communication attributes of effective virtual teams at both the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education International Conference (SITE) 2008 and at the 2008 Western Academy of Management Annual conference.
      Paper to be Published
Kevin Doyle's paper "The Benedictine Tradition, Catholic Social Teaching and the mission of business education in the Catholic university", with Christine Fletcher of Benedictine University's Theology department, will be published at the Business Education at Catholic Universities conference, June 11-13, 2008, Notre Dame, IN.
      Research Presented
Kevin Doyle's paper "Team Projects and Peer Evaluations", with Ralph D. Meeker of Benedictine's Computer Science department was presented at 2007 ACCA Scholarship of Pedagogy Symposium, October 6, 2007, Romeoville, IL, the 2008 College Teaching and Learning Conference, January 3, 2008, Orlando, FL, the MBA department professional development dinner on February 8, and at the Benedictine faculty colloquium on April 4. The paper was selected as a conference Best Paper at the 2008 College Teaching and Learning Conference and subsequently accepted for publication in the College Teaching Methods and Styles Journal.
      Research Presented at Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning
Sharon Borowicz' paper "What online courses are doing to prepare virtual team members" was presented at 23rd Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning in August 2007, and will be presented at the MBA department professional development dinner on February 8.
      Paper to Appear in Selected Procedings of the Associaton for Core Texts
Kevin Doyle's paper "The Rule of St. Benedict as a Business Core Text," will appear in Selected Proceedings of the Association for Core Texts and Courses 2006. Doyle is also a co-editor of the Proceedings.
      Paper Presented at the Association for Advancement of Computing in Education's
Sharon Borowicz presented a paper, "How Online M.B.A. Programs Help Students Develop Virtual Team Skills Necessary in the Workplace," at the Association for Advancement of Computing in Education's 2006 E-Learn Conference in October 2006.
      Paper Presented at the Symposium on Management, Engineering and Informatics
Kevin Doyle's "Theory of Constraints Experience: Batch Size and Multitasking," with David Long was presented at the Symposium on Management, Engineering and Informatics 2006, July 16-19, 2006, Orlando, FL, and selected as Best Paper in session by peer evaluation. It was subsequently published in the Proceedings of the International Symposium on Management, Engineering and Informatics 2006 .
      College of Business Honored
In the May 29, 2006 Business Ledger, the Business School at Benedictine University was honored.
