Program Overview

The mission of the Benedictine M.B.A. Programs is to provide business professionals with a collaborative educational experience that imparts superior, practical knowledge and management skills; enables learners to analyze complex, real-world business problems and implement best practices, and instills a sense of personal commitment to improve the responsible, strategic leadership of organizations.

The Benedictine M.B.A. Program is an individually-paced, evening and weekend M.B.A. program that is designed to provide maximum flexibility in curriculum and scheduling for busy people with an interest in management roles. The beautiful, accessible, and growing 118-year old Benedictine campus in Lisle, Illinois provides the setting for all MBA classes.

The Benedictine M.B.A. Program is now celebrating its 30th year. More than 2,500 M.B.A. alumni call Benedictine their alma mater. M.B.A. graduate students today enjoy a selection of more than 65 M.B.A. courses and may elect to concentrate in one of 13 topic areas, ranging from Financial Management to International Business to the newest kid on the block--E-Commerce Management.

In addition, M.B.A. students are encouraged to take elective courses in sister graduate programs, including the Masters of Science in Information Management (M.S.M.I.S.) Program, the Masters of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior (M.S.M.O.B.) Program, and the Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program. For the energetic and motivated student who wishes to gain expertise in two disciplines, the increasingly popular Dual Degree Programs (M.B.A./M.I.S., M.B.A./M.O.B., and M.B.A./M.P.H.) are available.

For those professionals looking to expand their knowledge in a specific area there are 7 certificates. Certificates are offered in the areas of accounting, business administration, financial management, operations management, marketing & entrepreneurship.

Benedictine M.B.A. Program instructors are seasoned full-time and adjunct faculty members who are carefully selected for their experience in, and commitment to, the education of motivated adult learners. All instructors have earned their master or doctorate degrees or both and possess expertise in their specific disciplines within the scope of the M.B.A. Program curriculum.

The M.B.A. curriculum addresses the needs of business professionals by providing a comprehensive exposure to all the elements essential for running their organizations well. The curriculum consists of sixteen courses of which thirteen are required and three are elective.
