Frequently Asked Questions

Q - How does Benedictine compare to other MOB programs?
A - The Organization Development Institute has ranked it among the top three programs of its kind. In a recent survey by D. D. Warrick on global leadership in the OD field, more than 70 percent of the respondents have been a part of the Benedictine University/George Williams College program.

Q - How long does it generally take to finish the program?
A - Usually a part-time student will complete the coursework in 2 ½ years.

Q - What is a weekend class?
A - 85% of the MOB classes are in the weekend format. A two credit hour class would meet on one weekend:
Generally there is a pre-class assignment, these are available in the syllabus
   Class meets on Friday, 6:30pm to 9:00pm
   On Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am to 4:00pm
   A comprehensive paper due one month after the class

Q - What is the age range and experience level of students?
A - The majority of students are professionals ranging in age from about 30-60.

Q - What are the admission requirements?
A - The required documentation is: the application, undergraduate transcripts, an essay explaining educational and career goals, two letters of reference, and GMAT scores. The application form is available on-line. It is also possible to start classes as a student-at-large.
