Robert W. (Bob) Hotes, Ph.D., RODC is an Employee Assistance
Specialist for operating units of the Hospital Sisters Health
System in Central Illinois and serves as faculty advisor for the
Springfield cohort. He joined the MOB program last year, teaching
Business Ethics and Process Consultation. Bob is immediate past
president of the American College of Counselors and is presently
the Illinois Coordinator of the National Association of Cognitive
Behavioral Therapists and a member of the editorial team of the
Organization Development Journal.
Dr. Hotes is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society,
a Registered Organization Development Consultant, a Certified
Employee Assistance Specialist and a member of the American Psychological
Association. He is also a Diplomate of the American Association
for Integrative Medicine and holds the Senior Professional in
Human Resources designation and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
His special research and publishing interests include Organizational
Behavior, Ethics and Spirituality in organizational contexts,
and multi-cultural OD applications. He is a bishop in the International
Lutheran Fellowship and speaks Spanish, German, French, Italian
and Portuguese as well as English. His OD consultant assignments
have included clients in Health Care, Aerospace, Communications,
Engineering, Manufacturing and Service organizations. He has a
limited private practice and has taught for the University of
Texas at Dallas and Southern Illinois University and other colleges
and universities.
He also served as research and training development analyst
leading major projects for both U.S. Government and industrial
clients and served as vice-president of the Dallas-Ft. Worth I/O
Psychology Group. His Ph.D. and post-doc is from the University
of North Texas, Denton, Texas, and his masters studies were at
the University of Dallas, and Catholic University. He is a graduate
of Saint Paul's Seminary, Canfield, Ohio.
Publications:
Hotes is the author/ co-author of numerous books and professional
articles, and is a frequent presenter at professional conferences
and meetings.
