Admissions Requirements by program

Associate of Arts in Business Administration (A.A.B.A.)

High School diploma or GED, Cumulative GPA 2.0 / 4.0 from any college level coursework, 22 years of age or older, two years of work experience

Bachelor of Arts in Management (B.A.M.) and Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership (B.A.O.L.)

Minimum 36 transferable credit hours, Cumulative GPA 2.0 / 4.0 from any college level coursework, 22 years of age or older, two years of work experience

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
  • Successful completion of a bachelor's degree conferred by a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • A minimum of two significant years of work experience in business, industry, public service, military service or other professional employment.
  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant's professional work experience.
  • A one-page statement of educational and career goals.
  • A resume which includes chronological work history.
  • Applicants who have not completed college algebra within the past seven years may be required to demonstrate math proficiency or participate in a math refresher course, MBA 400 Math Review.
  • GMAT or GRE score submission may be waived due to GPA, previous coursework, or passing grades in MBA 520 and MBA 541 upon advisement.
Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Reading and Literacy
  • Successful completion of a bachelor's degree conferred by a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant's professional work experience.
  • A one-page statement of educational and career goals.
  • A copy of the applicant's current IL Professional Educator License (PEL).
