English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) Endorsement

Blended Program

Benedictine University's English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) Endorsement program was designed to meet the urgent need within Illinois school districts to provide teachers who can address the cultural, linguistic and developmental needs of a diverse group of students. Completion of this program and practicum hours as prescribed by the University may enable licensed teachers to obtain the additional State of Illinois approval needed to receive an E.S.L. Endorsement. Most students complete the E.S.L. Endorsement program in about nine instructional months.

Benedictine’s E.S.L. Endorsement program for licensed teachers is offered in multiple locations.
