Sophomore defensive back Pat Daniels (Kirksville, Mo., H.S.) was named as the Illini-Badger Football Conference Defensive "Player of the Week" for games of October 6. Daniels had four tackles and two interceptions in Benedictine's 10-7 win at Greenville College. Both of Daniels' pilfered passes came in the fourth quarter with his team nursing the slim, three-point advantage.
