The Benedictine volleyball team split its four games in its own Eagle Classic on Friday and Saturday, improving its record to 25-6 overall. The 25 wins also represents the most under current head coach Jennifer Wildes and her third season with 20-plus wins at the BU helm. On Friday, Benedictine opened with a big win over Augustana College. The Eagles swept past the Vikings, 30-27, 30-22, 30-21. In the second game, Benedictine lost a 3-1 match score (23-30, 27-30, 32-30, 18-30) to St. Norbert College. In Saturday's matches, the Eagles stormed back with a 3-0 win over Mt. Mary College by scores of 30-11, 30-9, 30-21. BU then dropped a 3-1 decision to regional rival North Central College, 19-30, 30-27, 19-30, 28-30. Benedictine will host Rockford College in the first round of the Northern Athletics Conference tournament on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Regents defeated Benedictine during the NAC regular season , 3-2, in Rockford.
