Bailey earns men's NAC weekly honor

Benedictine University junior guard Jared Bailey(Argo, Ill./Argo Community H.S.) has been named as the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) "Student-Athlete of the Week" in men's basketball for the period of December 31-January 6. Bailey had 14 points and six boards in the Eagles' conference win over Dominican University last Wednesday, snapping a four-game skid by the team. In a tough loss to No. 14 Elmhurst College on Saturday, Bailey lit up the Bluejays for 33 points to lead all scorers. Bailey notched nice shooting percentages in all areas: 57-percent from the field, 67-percent from the three-point area and 82-percent from the free throw stripe. The junior guard also tallied seven assists and four steals in the two contests. Bailey is a marketing major.
