Benedictine's men's soccer team found itself unable to find the scoring punch in a 2-0 non-conference loss at home to Monmouth College. The Eagles are now 0-3 overall on the young season. Monmouth held a slim advantage in shots, 13-10. All four BU shots on goal were turned away. Benedictine goalie Jim Hanley was charged with both goals allowed. Hanley had three saves, all of which were during the first half as the Eagle defenders kept the Fighting Scots at bay for most of the second stanza. Monmouth scored its goals at the 31:18 mark of the first half and 53:48 into the match in half two.
